Are the protests in the valley targeted at the yatra ?

Now Mass hysteria and idle youth being utilised as stone throwers and harbingers of destruction has been all the while,... But Jammu and kashmir seems to have taken upon itself to lead and show some new trends. The Amarnath yatra is one of the most holiest piligrimages and it obviously tops all others. A ruckus and stone pelting youth that destroys anything that it sets its eyes upon and financed by the so called several lobbies in the valley. Some calling themselves the Hardline and some the moderate but no matter what they call themselves all destructive. Now take the case of Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Petrol and Tankers Association has refused to carry fuel to the Valley due to security concerns. The move by the association comes after 35 tankers were reportedly damaged by agitators during the recent protests.( IBNLIVE )  The refusal to carry fuel is likely to hit not only the Valley but also the Ladakh region. Everyday, 200 fuel tankers leave for Kashmir and Ladakh from Jamm

Now US calls Mugabe financier of terrorism ?!

Image
The Robert Mugabe may be whatever he is ? But America calling him the financier of terrorism is laughable. With the CIA death squads and the Financing Taliban and mujahideens in afghan USA is and was one of its kind largest death financiers in the world. Photo: AP Zimbabwe's president Mugabe (file) Source: VOA Over the past decade, the U.S. and other Western nations have imposed travel and financial sanctions against Mr. Mugabe and his close allies for alleged political repression and human rights abuses.  Talking about Human rights abuses well USA of all the countries how dare it talks of such things. The US has always been a short term ridiculous strategist that would create monsters to achieve it short term goals of pulling somebodys chairs.

The Need For A New Policy On Terrorism

Source: Turkish press Published: 6/28/2010 BY BERIL DEDEOGLU TODAY'S ZAMAN- The latest terror attacks have deprived many parents of their children. People are filled by pain and anger. They want this fight to come to an end and wonder why all this is happening now, at a time when everyone is talking about early elections. Some commentator believe that great powers are behind these bloody events because they want to weaken Turkey; some claim that this is Israel's revenge; some think that all this is about manipulating the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and hastening its fall; others accuse the government of not being able to finish what it started through its 'Kurdish initiative.' Maybe all of these explanations are partially correct. In any case, fighting terrorism must not be limited to launching hot-pursuit operations beyond one's borders or sending military planes to bomb northern Iraqi territory. The PKK is in the foreground; however, t
Earlier it was LTTE for Srilanka and Seperatist groups in India and naxals as well as Kashmiri militants and the much hyped media creation of Hindu terrorists the Burmese seperatists, the nepali maoists, the afghani al qaeda, the bhutanese seperatism, bangladeshi islamic terrorism all threats and SAARC was helpless. Now there seems to be some productive dialogue and work to face them. Atleast sri lanka seems to have shown the way. On the third day of their talks here, ahead of a ministerial meet Saturday, the secretaries held detailed consultations on a range of issues, including the anti-terrorism campaign, modification in immigration laws, prevention of drug and human trafficking, relaxation in visa laws, maritime security and other matters of mutual interest, Online news agency reported. Appreciating the suggestion from Pakistan on establishing an Institute of Criminology (IOC) for curbing crimes and enhancing police capabilities, the conference also agreed on setting up this in

Are the TALIBAN losing out after the failed attack on NATO base ?

It is one of the biggest NATO bases in afghanistan and the Taliban tried to blow it off and blew themselves.. And the Attack has a significance it comes when US General David Petraeus is due to take up his post as NATO commander in Afghanistan after he warned of a "tough fight" ahead in the nearly nine-year conflict. Now what is worrying is the morale down forces and adding up to it is .. dramatic sacking of Petreaus's predecessor, US General Stanley McChrystal, and an increasing death toll among foreign troops. Last month it was the main NATO base in Kandahar, the heartland of the Islamists' insurgency and the focus of a US-led campaign to drive out the militants and now it is the Jalalabad air base. and similar attack in May on Bagram airfield about 60 kilometres (35 miles) north of Kabul . high profile and selective. The toll for the year to date is 320, compared with 520 in all of 2009, according to an AFP tally based on figures kept by the independent icasua

Is it worth fighting the NAXALS with a wearedout CRPF ?

The Maoist menace has been growing and is unstoppable atleast as of now the Govt of India's wonderfully thought out strategy of using ARMY for Kashmir and not for Chatisgarh is something that only the corrupt beaurocrats bred by the politicians understand.. Rail and road services were hit in Jharkhand on Wednesday on the first day of a two-day strike in five Indian states, officials said. "As a precaution, seven trains have been cancelled and the routes of eight have been diverted," a railway official said. The diverted trains include the Ranchi-Delhi Swarna Jayanti Express and the Ranchi-Varanasi inter-city. According to railway authorities, pilot engines will run in some Maoist strongholds at a speed of 60-65 km per hour. (Source: HT ) So after the previous deadly CRPF attack the bandh and still we argue if the Army shud be deployed or not.... Here is an analysis of Why CRPF keps falling for the Naxal strategies and loosing their lives..  the CRPF personnel are
