China voices concern over Syrian Army designation

China's top ambassador to the United Nations on Wednesday stressed that China is "greatly concerned" over the Syrian Army "granting senior ranks to foreign terrorist fighters", including the leader of the Turkistan Islamic Party, also known as the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM). China calls on Syria to "fulfill its counter-terrorism obligations and to prevent any terrorist forces from using the Syrian territory to threaten the security of other countries," said Fu Cong, China's permanent representative to the UN. The ETIM was designated by China and listed by the UN Security Council as a terrorist organization. "No matter how the domestic situation in Syria develops, the bottom line of zero tolerance for terrorism cannot be changed," Fu said, noting that the council recently issued a statement on Syria, making it clear that states should combat all terrorist organizations listed by the council and deny safe haven for terrorists. US Unveils 21-Point Peace Plan: Israel To Exit Gaza, Hamas To Disarm

The United States has shared a 21-point proposal to end the war in Gaza and for the creation of a pathway for a future Palestinian state. The plan further entails proposals for immediate release of hostages, encouraging Palestinians to remain in the Strip and granting amnesty to peaceful Hamas members, among others, according to   Times of Israel . The document was shared by the US with a few Arab and Muslim nations this week on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.  However, the plan to urge Palestinians to remain in the Strip signals a major shift in US policy as US President Donald Trump had said in February that America will take over Gaza and relocate two million Gazans permanently. Moreover, the idea of a future Palestinian state also departs from Trump's policy as the administration has never backed a two-state solution. The proposal has favourable points for Israel as well, such as a commitment for Hamas to disarm, demilitarisation of Gaza and es...

Germany to take steps to defend itself against 'high' threat from drones

FRANKFURT, Sept 27 (Reuters) - German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said on Saturday that the threat from drones was "high" and that the country would take measures to defend itself. Officials in Europe have been on high alert after drone incursions in Denmark shut down air traffic in various parts of the country several times over the past week. Authorities are also investigating  sightings in Germany , "There is a threat that can be classified as high when it comes to drones. It is an abstract threat, but very concrete in individual cases," Dobrindt told journalists in Berlin. Among the measures, Germany will look to revise an aviation security law to allow the nation's armed forces to get involved to possibly shoot down drones, he said. "It's about being prepared so that critical infrastructure or large gatherings of people, for example, can be protected," he said. Source:  Germany to take steps to defend itself against 'high' t...

Dr. Toros Korkmaz: The Sayfo Genocide paved the way for a Muslim Turkish bourgeoisie

ANKARA — Dr. Toros Korkmaz described peace as “a practical condition that heals the illnesses of yesterday and today, and lays the foundation for a healthy tomorrow.” His words capture the long-standing affliction that has plagued the Turkish state since the Ottoman era—a legacy of marginalization and denial of non-Muslim and non-Turkish peoples’ rights that continues to shape the present.   Speaking to  Firat News Agency , Korkmaz, himself of Armenian descent, stressed that peace is not a fleeting event but a genuine confrontation with the suffering of the past and the laying of foundations for a future free from war and conflict. He argued that earlier peace efforts in Turkey collapsed under the weight of short-term political anxieties, while government-driven chauvinist, nationalist, militarist, anti-Kurdish state propaganda has eroded faith in peace across large segments of society—particularly among communities who do not see themselves as Turks. He underlined the need to...

Bangladeshi Diaspora Protests Against Yunus at UN, Allege Minority Atrocities

A large group of Bangladeshis, many of them supporters of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, staged a protest outside the United Nations headquarters on Friday, accusing the country’s current chief adviser, Muhammad Yunus, of persecuting minorities and “turning Bangladesh into a Taliban state.” Protesters carried placards reading “Stop killing minorities in Bangladesh” and “Say no to Islamist terrorism in Bangladesh” while chanting slogans such as “Yunus is Pakistani, go back to Pakistan.” “We are protesting against the illegal Yunus regime,” said one protestor quoted by ANI. “Since August 5, 2024, when Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave Bangladesh, minorities – Hindus, Buddhists, Christians – have been systematically targeted and killed. Many have been forced to flee the country. This is why we demand elections and Yunus’s resignation.” Another protester alleged that Yunus was “making Bangladesh a Taliban country” and called for the release of Chinmoy Krishna Das, an ISKCON priest ar...

KJAR: Iranian authorities commit murder against female detainees

The Free Women’s Organization in Eastern Kurdistan (KJAR) condemned the repressive policies of the Iranian authorities against female detainees, stating that the death of political prisoner Somayeh Rashidi due to denial of medical treatment constitutes a “clear and ongoing murder” of women.   In a statement issued today, Saturday, September 27, the KJAR emphasized that the death of Somayeh Rashidi, who was detained in Qarchak Boroumand Prison and passed away after 11 days of deteriorating health, was not an accident but part of a systematic policy targeting the lives of female prisoners. They described it as a “clear, ongoing, and targeted murder” of women. The statement noted that Rashidi, who had been arrested multiple times since the outbreak of the popular uprising in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan, was deprived of medical care despite suffering from a serious illness, raising widespread concern among detainees and women’s rights activists. The KJAR confirmed that the Iranian autho...

Curfew Declared In Madagascar Capital After Violent Protests

Authorities in Madagascar on Thursday imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the capital, after protests over frequent power outages and water shortages turned violent, according to a top security official. Police fired teargas to disperse the thousands of mostly youth protesters who were marching and carrying placards, in Antananarivo, the capital, according to a Reuters witness. The demonstrators were denouncing the government and demanding restoration of reliable water and electricity across the country. “There are unfortunately individuals taking advantage of the situation to destroy other people’s property,” General Angelo Ravelonarivo, who heads a joint security body that includes the police and the military, said in a statement he read on privately owned Real TV late on Thursday. To protect “the population and their belongings,” the security forces decided to impose a curfew from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. “until public order is restored,” the statement said. Madagascar, an island nation in the...

Malaysia not a Hamas base, says IGP after US analyst's remark

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 24): The Royal Malaysian Police on Wednesday denied claims by former US Department of Treasury terrorism finance analyst Jonathan Schanzer that Malaysia was serving as a hub for Hamas operations. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said the Palestinian struggle was an issue close to the hearts of Muslims in Malaysia, but the country continued to maintain good relations with the US and other nations. “There are foreign nationals here, especially from Palestine, Syria and others, who are studying in our institutions of higher learning, and perhaps our people’s concern (for their plight) has been misinterpreted by certain quarters,” he told a press conference here on Wednesday Schanzer, via his social media account, alleged that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was not interested in peace between Palestine and Israel. Mohd Khalid said the Malaysian police constantly collaborate and share information with foreign counter...

LeT On The Run: Relocates To Khyber Pakhtunkhwa After Operation Sindoor Blow

After Operation Sindoor, terrorist organisations based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Punjab suffered a significant setback. Since then, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) have begun relocating their training centers and bases to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) region. Now, information has surfaced that Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) - Pakistan's largest and UN-banned terrorist group - is also constructing a new training center in KPK. Where is the new center being built? Images and videos dated 22 September 2025 reveal that Lashkar-e-Taiba has begun constructing a large training and residential camp over approximately 4,600 square feet of land in Kumban Maidan, Lower Dir. The camp is being named "Markaz Jihad-e-Aqsa". This location is just 47 kilometers from the Afghan border. Construction began in July 2025, and currently, work is underway on the first-floor roof. Interestingly, this new camp is being built right next to a recently constructed Lashkar mosque ...
