DHS Whistleblower: I was ordered to scrub records of Muslims with terror ties Fuzzy Slippers | 2/7/2016 - 12:30pm Obama’s first year in office was a busy one as he worked tirelessly to hinder the government’s ability to identify, locate, track, or make common sense connections between Islamists and terrorism. In April of 2009, the  DHS released a now-infamous report  entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” and in which conservatives were labeled potential terrorists not because they are radical militants but because they are pro-life, support the Tenth Amendment, or are veterans. Michelle Malkin wrote  at that time: It is no coincidence that this report echoes Tea Party-bashing left-wing blogs (check this one out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) and demonizes the very Americans who will be protesting in the thousands on Wednesday for the nationwide Tax Day Tea

Yazidi girl set herself on fire to avoid further rape at hands of ISIS

Yazidi girl set herself on fire to avoid further rape at hands of ISIS 09.23.16 A 16-year-old Yazidi girl named Yasmin was sick of being raped by ISIS fighters. So she doused herself in gasoline and lit a match, knowing that if she survived that the militants would no longer find her desirable. “Now she looks like a zombie, and children cry when they see her,” said Dr. Jan Kizilhan, a psychology professor and trauma expert who has been working to bring women and children traumatized by ISIS to Germany for treatment. “It is so difficult to see what the fire did to her.” According to Dr. Kizilhan, many ISIS fighters view the raping of Yazidi women and children, and the slaughtering of their men, as morally equivalent to “killing a chicken.” Dr. Jan Kizilhan, who has worked with trauma victims in Rwanda and Kosovo, has partnered with the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg to bring 1,100 women and children thus far  to a facility near Stuttgart for treatment . Music video rejects all forms of FGM, challenges policing of female body

Music video rejects all forms of FGM, challenges policing of female body 02.10.17 Monday marked the Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation Day, an annual awareness campaign aimed at ending FGM. In observance of the day, a catchy music video made by the non-profit Integrate U.K. assumed particular pertinence. In the video, titled “#MyClitoris,” a group of girls challenge the constant policing of the female body by society and the media, and reassert control over their own bodies. Putting it frankly the girls sing, “Seems it’s up to us girls to be quite tough … If we need to spell it out, get your mitts off my muff.” While there is virtual unanimity amongst experts that FGM should be outlawed, and although the UN passed a resolution back in 2012 banning the abuse within its 194 UN Member States, the practice is still widespread. According to the U.N., at least 200 million girls and women have been mutilated and research by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevent

Top French court vetoes ban on consulting jihadist sites

Feb 10, 2017 - 12:42  Reuters International  PARIS (Reuters) - A law in France that bans people from regularly consulting jihadist websites which urge "acts of terrorism" was ruled unconstitutional by a top judicial body on Friday. The law was brought in last June, seven months after shooting and bomb attacks by Islamist militants that killed 130 people in Paris ushered in a state of emergency in France. In a ruling on Friday, the 10-member constitutional court vetoed the law which sets a two-year prison sentence for consulting jihadist websites regularly, saying it infringed the freedom of communication unnecessarily and disproportionately. A lawyer acting for a man who fell foul of the law and is now serving a two-year sentence had contested the ban. The court said in a statement that law enforcement agencies in France had enough other resources to monitor websites which incited militancy, and people who clearly had "a terrorist intention".

John W. Nicholson said in a sober assessment of America’s longest war to the Senate Armed Services Committee . The international force that is helping the Afghans currently has 13,300 troops, 8,400 of whom are American. Afghan forces have taken heavy casualties over the last year as they have sought to hold off the Taliban and prevent them from capturing provincial capitals. General Ni
