Are the TALIBAN losing out after the failed attack on NATO base ?

It is one of the biggest NATO bases in afghanistan and the Taliban tried to blow it off and blew themselves..
And the Attack has a significance it comes when
US General David Petraeus is due to take up his post as NATO commander in Afghanistan after he warned of a "tough fight" ahead in the nearly nine-year conflict.
Now what is worrying is the morale down forces and adding up to it is ..
dramatic sacking of Petreaus's predecessor, US General Stanley McChrystal, and an increasing death toll among foreign troops.
