Jammu and Kashmir: Fierce encounter underway in Shopian, top Hizbul commander among terrorists holed up

According to sources, around 4-6 terrorists are believed to be holed up. Shopian:  A fierce gunfight has broken out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, a day after another encounter in Budgam. The attack comes just days ahead of India's 70th Republic Day celebrations. A top Hizbul Mujahideen commander is believed to be among the terrorists. According to sources, around 4-6 terrorists are believed to be holed up in Shopian's Zainapora area and forces are engaging them in a fierce gunbattle. They ran their own state, collecting tens of millions of dollars in taxes and using the proceeds to fix potholes, issue birth certificates, finance attacks and recruit followers from around the world.
