Family of murder victim holds rally calling for end to gun violence in Prince George's County

  PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md.   -   The family of a   Prince George’s County   murder victim hosted a rally calling for an end to gun violence Saturday. Omar Shahid  was murdered  shortly after a vigil for three of his friends ended over the summer. His family is calling for justice and honoring all gun violence victims. Shahid’s family says he was a great son and brother but also a father. They say his three-year-old daughter still asks where he is. His partner was pregnant with their son when Shahid was killed. Shahid died the day before a baby shower for his son, where he was planning to propose. Family says it's heartbreaking that their little boy will never get to know his father. It’s small anecdotes like that shared by Shahid’s family Saturday to help understand the pain of his loss. Gagangir Terror Attack: Terrorists Recently Returned From Pakistan, Carried Out Recce Before Shooting

Security agencies on Sunday said the terrorist attack where terrorists fired indiscriminately on people near the Z-Morh tunnel worksite was a planned one and involved a terrorist who had returned from Pakistan, who carried out a recce of the site before launching the attack. The attack was orchestrated by terrorist group The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The group claimed responsibility for the killings. They also said they have identified the two terrorists who were involved and said their names were – Hurera and Khubaib. So far six people have died in the Gagangir terror attack and eleven people were injured. At least two among those killed are non-locals. “This was a planned attack on workers with an idea of (causing) maximum casualties,” sources told  CNN-News18 . “These two terrorists have done recce in advance, with all inlet and outlet of tunnels,” they further added. Israel Targets Hezbollah’s Financiers, Announces Imminent Strikes in Lebanon

  Israel’s military says it will now take aim at the Lebanon-based Hezbollah’s financial arm and plans to attack a “large number of targets” in the coming hours in Beirut and elsewhere.Israeli military spokesman Rear. Adm. Daniel Hagari says they will issue evacuation warnings for people in parts of Beirut, and “anyone who will be near the sites used to finance Hezbollah’s terrorist activity is required to stay away from them immediately.”The strikes will target al-Qard al-Hassan, a senior Israeli intelligence official said. The registered nonprofit, sanctioned by both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, provides financial services and is also used by ordinary Lebanese.Al-Qard al-Hassan is a unit in Hezbollah and is used to pay operatives of the Iran-backed militant group and help buy arms, the official added, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with army regulations.
