Fresh confrontation near Pangong lake, a Tibetan soldier dead and other injured - Phayul
DHARAMSHALA, Sept. 1: Fresh confrontation near the LAC of the the Indo-Tibetan border on August 29 and 30, between Indian and Chinese forces have taken place according to a statement by the Indian Army on Monday. The army said that attempts by Chinese forces to change the “status quo” has been thwarted.
“On the night of 29/30 August, PLA troops violated the consensus arrived at during military and diplomatic engagements… and carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo.
“Indian troops pre-empted this PLA activity on the southern bank of Pangong Tso Lake, undertook measures to strengthen our positions and thwart Chinese intentions to unilaterally change facts on ground,” the Indian Army said Monday.
A Tibetan soldier in the Special Frontier Force’s Vikas battalion has died and another Tibetan man from the same unit sustained injuries, possibly from the same incident at the LAC. The two have been identified as deceased Company Leader (Coy Ldr) Nyima Tenzin, 51, and Tenzin Lodhen, 24, (rank not available).
Sources say that the Company Leader died after he stepped on a landmine while others say that he died of a gun shot wound to his neck. While there are two narratives of how the Tibetan soldier died, his death is confirmed as his body was handed over to his family in Sonamling Tibetan settlement on Tuesday by the army, covered with the Indian and Tibetan flag. He is survived by his wife and three children. His remains will be cremated at 6 am on September 7, 2020.
Following the confrontation on the weekend, both sides are reported to have captured strategic heights and suffered casualties on both the Indian and Chinese side. The SFF forces consisting of mostly Tibetan commandoes have been deployed and have succeeded in capturing crucial vantage points including Kala top, sources said.
A Brigadier-level talks have been in progress since 9 am on Tuesday at Moldo to resolve the increasing tension at the LAC. The talks are, however, supplemented with more deployment of forces from both sides. According to sources, Chinese armoured vehicles and battle tanks are positioned near the foothills of ‘Kala Top’ while an Indian tank regiment is already positioned in the plains — south-west of the flashpoint between Spanggur Tso and Chushul.

India will remain proud of martyrdom of late SSF soldier Nyima Tenzin for maintaining the sanctity of mother India. World community has also come to know the grit and valour of soldiers of SSF and they have recorded their name in the saga of history. Their (SSF) contribution in maintaining the sovereignty of India have been immense and they will be remembered by our future generations. Sacrifices of Nyima La and other Tibetans for mother India will never go waste and they have also sown the seeds for the liberation of their motherland, the Tibet which we all hope to materialize very soon. We pray for peace to the departed soul and to give strength to the family members of the bereaved to bear this irreparable lost and also wish for fast recovery of our beloved wounded soldier Tenzin Lodhen.
The only way to defend India’s northern border with Tibet is to arm the Tibetans. There are few fighting forces like the Tibetans who have fought the Chinese in Tibet in the 1950s by running into gun turrets of the PLA with their knives when their ammunition ran out. They did the same in the Chittagong Hill tracts during the Liberation of Bangla Desh and brought victory to India.
The SFF must be given a significant fund to train Tibetan fighters who are used to the mountain altitude and climate and above all their courage is legendary. During the 1950s, the Chinese admitted, it took ten Chinese PLA to confront one single Tibetan fighter!!! The name of Khampa fighters will send a chill in the spines of the PLA. This is no boast. When China planned to invade Tibet, Deng Xioping was the PLA commander. He told his men that they will have to go to Tibet. His PLA men refused!They were too scared!
Deng then told them, it was a national duty and they cannot refuse. The PLA was terrified to go to Tibet where the brave Tibetans lived and they knew, they will never return to China. Indian leaders have kept the Tibet issue in the freezer at their own peril. They thought, if we sell Tibet and keep quite, the Chinese will let us live in peace.
Well, that has definitely not happened. So, India is forced to use the hidden SFF paratroopers to guard against a voracious China. Indian leaders must realise by now that, without having an independent Tibet as the historical buffer, India will always be exposed to Chinese invasion and incursions. The only way, to have a safe and tranquil border in the Himalayas is to help free Tibet from communist China’s military occupation.
There is no time to wait. Tibet is being colonised and the population demographics on the Tibetan plateau is fast changing. India must help Tibet before its too late. Our heart goes to the family of the brave Tibetan SFF heroes. We will be saying prayers for them. We are grateful for laying your precious life for the liberation of Tibet and the security of India. You will remain forever in our hearts

This is just brutal. Tibetans are still dying because of organ harvesting China.
