Two Maoists held in Koraput

The Koraput police on Sunday arrested two hardcore Maoists from the Dumbaguda area in Koraput district and forwarded them to court.

According to the Koraput SP Avinash Kumar, the duo is identified as identified as Habika Lingama and Habika Tamaya, who were involved in various crimes, including murder.

“They were the key strategists in the abduction of Laxmipur MLA Jhina Hikaka in March 24 this year. While 12 cases have been pending against Lingama, nine cases have been registered against Tamaya in different police stations in the district,” the SP said.
