Somalia:Fresh Fighting breaks out in east Jowhar city

JOWHAR (MAREEG.COM)- Heavy fighting between Al-shabab and locals reportedly took place on Friday afternoon in parts ofSomalia’s southern rebel-region of middle Shabelle, reports said.
Sources said the fighting erupted at locations east of Jowhar,90 Km south the capital after residents disobeyed orders from Al-shabab fighters to bring their young ones into the battlefields against Somalia and AMSIOM forces in the anarchic capital, Mogadishu and elsewhere in the country.
Witnesses confirm that At least 8 people were killed and others wounded, all from both warring sides. Locals began mass displacement in fear of renewed fighting between the militants and residents.
Al-shabab has not yet commented about the combat so far, but the situation remains calm and the fighting has subsided early overnight.
