Abu Sayyaf commander arrested in S Philippines

MANILA - A suspected commander of the terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group was arrested early Fridaymorning in southern Philippine province of Basilan, police said.
Philippine National Police spokesman Agrimero Cruz Jr. identified the suspect as CommanderKule Mamagong, alias Molis Tahsin/Kule, who was nabbed at Tandung Ahas village in LamitanCity at around 2:15 am Friday.
Mamagong is a member of the Abu Sayyaf under the leadership of the late Abdurajak Janjalani,he said.
He was allegedly involved in the bombing incident that transpired at Kidapawan City sometimein 2006.
The suspect was brought to Zamboanga City for documentation and proper disposition, Cruzsaid.

Chinese spying on Dutch industries 'intensifying': Dutch defence minister

SINGAPORE (Reuters) -Chinese efforts to spy on the Dutch are intensifying, with the focus on semiconductors, Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans said on Saturday. "The semiconductor industry, which we are technologically leading, or technology advanced, of course, to get that intellectual property - that's interesting to China," Brekelmans said in an interview on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue security meeting in Singapore. Kabul: Five members of the US-led international military coalition were killed on Saturday by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan, the latest deadly attack against foreign troops since the Taliban announced the start of their spring offensive this week. The renewed violence came as Afghan President Hamid Karzai acknowledged that his government has been receiving funds from CIA for more than a decade as part of regular monthly assistance from the US government.
