Roadside Bomb Wounds 4 Iowa Guardsmen in Afghanistan

From the Iowa National Guard:
Four Soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Iowa Army National Guard, were wounded when their vehicle was struck by an Improvised Explosive Device while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan on Wednesday, May 18.
Sgt. Chisum Frisch, 23, of Cedar Falls; Spc. Jacob Hutchinson, 21, of Cedar Rapids; Spc. Benjamin Ward, 26, of Rowley; and Private 1st Class Tanner Williams, 18, of Tama, were transported to medical facilities at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. Frisch, Ward and Williams were members of Company C, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry, while Hutchinson belonged to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Brigade Special Troops Battalion.
Approximately 2,800 Soldiers of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team were deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, in July and August 2010. Their mission is to provide full-spectrum operations in a combat theater, including lethal and non-lethal capabilities, support to Afghan National Army and Police units and assistance to humanitarian relief initiatives.
