Drone strikes target militants' hideout in northwest Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Two drone strikes killed 13 militants in northwest Pakistan on Saturday, two intelligence officials said.

The first drone strike targeted militants' hideout in Miran Shah, officials said.

Four missiles were fired, killing seven militants, officials said.

In the second drone strike, two missiles targeted militants' hideout in Mandi Khel, killing six.

The strikes were in North Waziristan, a mountainous region bordering Afghanistan.

The officials asked not to be named because they are not authorized to talk to the media.
