ADF dispatches urban terror squad

The subject is an ADF operative who was arrested on the 30 Jun 08 by JAT in Kibibi, Butambala, in Mpigi district for her
involvement in ADF activities. Her partners in crime were

Kasadha Juma (POA) Kakule Tony (POA), Bogere Johnson aka Andrew Menya (at large) and Kijjambu aka General Toyota (arrested). She reveals that;

§  She joined ADF in 1995 and was taken for a six months training in Buhira DRC. After training she participated in the Mpondwe ADF attack in 1996 that was repulsed by the UPDF forcing them to retreat to Kiraro, then back to Buhira camp.

§  They camped at Buhira until 2003 when they were redeployed to various camps in Ilungu, Bundiguya, and Chuchubo (Rwamisota) where they stayed up to early 2006.

§  Around late 2006, some forces in Ilungu camp were transferred to join the Chuchubo (Rwamisota) group where subject had stayed for 04 months before being dispatched to Uganda.

§  Around March 2007, a group of 52 ADF rebels including  subject were ordered by the late ADF commander Bosco Balau Isiko to move into Uganda. They were dispatched under the command of Kawooya, deputized by Mukwaya and Kijjambu, and were briefed not to harass the population nor interfere with their property. They infiltrated the Semuliki NP to Kalambi hills from where they linked up with commander Kato and another group which the subject could not ably establish.

§  While in the Park, a group of 20 ADF rebels under commander Katende moved towards Mubende. After one month, another group of 20 rebels under Kato also moved out leaving subject behind with 08 other fighters under the command of Kijjambu....

§  Around Oct 2007, the Kijjambu and subject’s group was  joined by another group of around 20 fighters under Kifagio who subsequently took over command from Kijjambu. The group suffered heavy losses as a result of deaths and desertions due to intense pressure by UPDF which left them with only 07 fighters.

§  Around late Feb 08, the unbearable conditions of drought  and intensified operations by the UPDF forced subject and  Kijjambu’s group to relocate to Kampala and settled in Banda awaiting further instructions. Subject was taken to Siraji Diin aka Tata Hanifa (still at large) for accommodation.

§  The next day, Abdu Hamid Lugemwa aka Tata Sarah came and briefed her that she would be relocated to another location for accommodation. As expected, Siraji Diin took her to Nalya at the home of one Mama Yunus aka Kalsum (arrested) where she stayed for 03 weeks.

§  From Nalya, subject went to Banda and met Kijjambu who  then communicated to Tata Sarah for the next move. She was taken to Masanafu at Mama Hassan’s (wife to Muhamood in Luzira Prison) home by Tata Sarah where she spent one week before returning back to Banda.

§  A day after returning from Masanafu, subject was again  picked by Tony (of Banda cell) who took her to the Old Taxi Park where they met Tata Sarah who handed her to Mama Mariam (Drago’s widow) and was taken back to Masanafu to Hadijja’s place. She identified Hadijja as a sister to Fatuma. That Fatuma tried to advise and encourage her to abandon rebel activities and surrender to security, but this was interrupted by Tata Sarah who picked and took her to Mama Fau in Nkoowe Wakiso from where she got further instructions to come to Kampala and meet Tezita (arrested).

§  Around Apr 2008, she was taken by Tezita to Kyabadaza  along Mpigi road and met Bogere Johnson aka Andrew Menya, the husband (still at large) who took her to Kibibi where she was eventually arrested.

TEZITA MUSA aka KIMBUGWE aka SUPA

Subject is an ADF fighter who was arrested on 25 Jun 08 at a roadblock in Karugutu on Fort Portal-Bundibugyo road. He is of Rwandese origin born in 1972 to Hajji Musa Kazungu and Robinah Namayemba of Mityeduma, Mbirizi Lwengo sub-county, Bukoto County, Masaka district. He was on route recce for ADF operations. He used to ply the Mbarara - Kasese, Fort Portal- Kampala roads in an ADF vehicle, Isuzu ELF UAK 654E on instructions of Jamil Mukulu and David Lukwago aka Rashid
Lukwago. He was to coordinate with other operatives already in the country thus, Kawagu Abdu a.k.a Muyizi (in Buwama), Bogere Dauda aka Menya Andrew aka Nyame(husband to Zainabu Nasoolo in Kibibi). A study of subject’s printout led trackers to the arrest of 02 ADF operatives, namely; Nasoolo Zainabu aka Kawooya (wife to Menya Andrew) in Kibibi, and Kalsum Aisha in Nalya, Mukono. Nasoolo’s revelations led to the arrest of Kijjambu Toyota aka Henry. Kijjambu’s group of 06 were to conduct urban terror operations on instructions of Jamil Mukulu. He is a P6 dropout and married with 07 children.

Upon interrogation, subject reveals that;

§  Between 1987-2006, he took to a number of odd jobs. He worked as a mechanic up to 1992, a baker in 1993 before joining Kakira Sugar Works in 1995 as a driver. That between 1995-1996, subject went back to Kyazanga where he worked as a mechanic.
From 1998-2006, he was a truck driver in Kyazanga.

§  In 2006 while in Kyazanga, Tezita had a friend called  Baghdad alias Ahmed Kakembo currently in ADF camps in  Congo who used to play audio tapes about Jamil Mukulu’s  preachings and subject got interested. The message was that  freedom was through ADF (Jihad). In Sept 07, Baghdad took
subject to Kampala and met Kajubi with whom they travelled up to Kasese. Kajubi called a Congolese man who picked them by a minibus and travelled up to Beni from where they boarded motorcycles to the forest. They were picked and taken to Chuchubo (Rwamisota) camp for training where he and 24 others passed out after specialized training in Taekwondo after 03 months.

§  In March 07, subject in a group of 08 under Bosco escorted a group of 150 rebels under Kato up to River Semiliki. That Kato’s group was advancing towards Uganda. On returning to their camps in Congo, subject with others underwent a 06 months’ training.

§  Around Feb 08, upon completion of training he was called by Kakande and Lukwago who briefed him that he was to go to Uganda for a mission. He was given US$ 50 for transport facilitation but rode on a motorcycle to Beni.
