Akure — A militant leader in Ondo State, Ayebi Otegha, has described the Monday bomb blasts at a post amnesty dialogue for all stakeholders in Niger Delta as a strong indication that the whole amnesty programme of the Federal Government was a ruse.
The conference was organised by Vanguard Newspapers, in Warri, Delta State, to promote sustainable peace and development in the region.

Otegha, in a text message to our correspondent in Akure on Wednesday, said the bomb blast "is to signal to those our Niger Delta governors and stakeholders that the amnesty programme being put on ground is a cabalistic and jamboree programme. The simple truth is that justice delayed is justice denied."
He frowned at the handlers of the post-amnesty programme designed by President Umaru Yar'Adua last year, stressing that many of the leaders from the region are not sincere and committed to the genuine success of the programme.

The militant leader, who claimed leadership of Ondo State fringe of Futupagha militant group, however said militants in the region had resolved to stop further hostilities within the region to give both the states and Federal Government chance to rethink over the issues in the amnesty programme.
"We've resolve to stop further attacks and this include Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), and we also appeal to those who carried out the inferno and dragon action to give peace a chance because of the efforts of some notable Nigerians in the Niger Delta struggle, including, Wole Soyinka, Mike Aihgbe, Tompolo, Henry Okah, Farah Dagoro, Ateke Tom, John Odigei Oyegun and Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole, to make the amnesty programme work and successfully implemented,".
