20 killed in Dera Ghazi khan blast

And at least 20 people are dead in Pakistan after the home of a government minister was bombed in Punjab Province today.

The latest blast was in the town of Dera Ghazi Khan in a crowded market. The kind of site frequently targeted by militants aiming to inflict maximum casualties.

The powerful blast destroyed several shops, trapping people in the rubble. Rescue workers fear the death toll may increase.
Militants have killed hundreds of people in bombings since October, when a military clampdown in South Waziristan dealt a major blow to the Taliban.
