'Shoot at sight' issued by MoD at Western Air Command bases

The sources also said that the Centre has learnt from the Pathankot terror attack and would soon clear for the security system proposals
The Ministry of Defence on Wednesday issued 'Shoot at sight' orders for unauthorised trespassers and airbases coming under the jurisdiction of Western Command.
According to MoD sources, all Western Command airbases have been put on high alert following the terror attack on the Pathankot Air Force station. The sources also said that the Centre has learnt from the Pathankot terror attack and would soon clear for the security system proposals.
The Defence Ministry has also ordered regular exercises by the army and central para military forces (CPMF), and has also asked quick reaction teams to be on alert. It is also being reported that the Indian Air Force (IAF) will provide protection to 54-55 large air bases which house strategic assets.
