Blasts, exchanges of gunfire heard in Jakarta, Indonesia


Several blasts and exchanges of heavy gunfire have rocked the centre of the Indonesian capital Jakarta.

Local media has reported at least three explosions, although there are also reports of up to six blasts. There are also reports of heavy gunfire nearby and unconfirmed reports a police officer has been shot.

According to wire service, AFP, a police post in the centre of the city was damaged by several bomb blasts and at least three causalities were seen in the street.
