(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Wahhabi Terrorist armed men have martyred three people, including a Shia Muslim judge, in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan.
The gunmen, riding a motorbike, opened fire on Zulfiqar Naqvi and his driver and a bodyguard in the provincial capital, Quetta, on Thursday.
Naqvi was on the way to his office when gunmen attacked his car.
“Gunmen were waiting for him at a railway crossing. The moment the car slowed down, the assailants sprayed bullets and fled,” said police officer Wazir Khan Nasir.
On Monday, unknown gunmen also killed three Shia Muslims and wounded two others in Balochistan. The victims belonged to the local Hazara tribe.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the Thursday attack.
Hundreds of Shia Muslims have been killed in various parts of Pakistan over the past few months.
The country’s Shia leaders have called on the government to form a judicial commission to investigate the bloodshed.
The killing of Shias has caused international outrage, with rights groups and regional countries, including Iran, expressing concern over the ongoing deadly violence.
