Pak faced severe king of terrorism in 2010: US FO Report

WASHINGTON, (SANA): The US State Department report said that Pakistan faced severe kind of
terrorism in the year 2010, resulting in death of more than two
thousand people. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the FATA becomes the hub of
terrorists, adding that Pakistan Army tried its best to get out of
terrorism but could not be able to fully end the menace.
The US State Department issued its annual report of 2010 on war against terrorism.
According to the report Pakistan faces internal, external and regional threats from the terrorist groups, adding that a number of terrorists including in terrorist activities were arrested while some of them were punished.
Meanwhile the Pakistan Army conducted operations against the terrorists but could not eliminate the terrorists in affected areas.
Pakistan becomes the safe haven of terrorists; meanwhile the civil administration and military tried their best to eliminate them with the cooperation of US.
The report said Pakistani Taliban and Lashkar Jhanghvi accepted the responsibility of mostly of these incidents, adding that mostly the civil society, religious groups and security forces were affected from these incidents.
According to the report, the judicial system of Pakistan is supporting the terrorists, adding that the released terrorists were 75 percent among the arrested.
The responsible of the incidents in which the US citizens also affected, were released due to judicial system.
The report said that a huge number of people were killed during sectarian clashes in Pakistan in 2010, adding that the terrorist groups recruiting suicide bombers and used them in Pakistan and Afghanistan, meanwhile the report also said that Afghan Taliban, Al Qaeda and Lashkar Tayyaba hold strong position in Pakistan.
The report further states that Al-Qaeda still has the capacity to carry out attacks at international level.
