Two hardcore Maoists carrying Rs 5 lakh cash reward surrender before Odisha Police
The two have been identified as Manku Oyam alias Jayaram of Karemarka and Lachu Madkam alias Biswanath of Adismet, both from the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

Two hardcore Maoists involved in numerous Naxal activities in Rayagada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts, surrendered before Rayagada police SP Vivekanand Sharma in Odisha on Wednesday.
The two have been identified as Manku Oyam alias Jayaram of Karemarka and Lachu Madkam alias Biswanath of Adismet, both from the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
Manku had joined the Sunabeda Area Committee of Mainpur-Nuapada division of the banned CPI (Maoist) organisation as a party member in November 2011.
After being promoted to the rank of Area Committee Member (ACM), he was transferred to Kalahandi Local Organisation Squad (LOS) in May 2018. Later, he worked in Kalahandi LOS of Bansadhara-Ghumusura-Nagabali (BGN) division just before his surrender. He carries a cash reward of Rs 4 lakh.
On the other hand, Lachu joined the Rahul Area Committee of the KKBN division under the Odisha State Committee banned CPI (Maoist) organisation as a party member in April 2015.
He carries a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh.
Meanwhile, Rayagada police SP Vivekanand Sharma appealed to members of the outlawed Left-wing organisation to surrender.
Talking to India Today TV, Rayagada SP Vivekanand Sharma told Maoists to shun violence and return to the mainstream by taking advantage of the “attractive” surrender and Naxal rehabilitation policy announced for them by the state government.
"I want to thank my Director General of Police, Director Intelligence and DIG South Western Range for there support and motivation" he further added.
