Babu Solanki, right hand man of Sharif Khan and Dawood Ibrahim, nabbed by Gujarat ATS
AHMEDABAD: Gujarat ATS on Saturday arrested one Babu Solanki, presently based at Mumbai and hailing from Unjah
in Mehsana, Solanki was wanted in a gang war case registered by Gujarat
ATS in 2006 and since then was on the run for 14 years. ATS officials
said Solanki presentlty used to work for Sharif khan Pathan who is a right hand man of don Dawood Ibrahim supposedly based in Pakistan. He was arrested Adalaj- Mehsana Road.
According
to ATS sources Nilesh Shah and Jigar Choksi had sold of shares of
Pragnesh Patel who used to work in a share company in Unjha named
Gayatri Investment.
On the other side Shah and Choksi hired, Mohammed Atik alias Jehangir and Iqbal Patel to take on Solanki and Abbasmiya for not paying the amount. Meanwhile the cops arrested Sabirmiya with one country made pistol and five cartridges, Mohammed Atik alias Jehangir with one revolver and seven live cartridges. They booked for carrying weapons for settling scores over one another by Gujarat ATS.
DIG, ATS Himanshu Shukla said that since than Solanki was on the run and had escaped to Mumbai where he used to work as a body guard . "He has been booked and arrested in several offences in different police stations of the state" added DIG Shukla.
ATS sources said in 2006 he was booked by Gujarat ATS for extortion. In 2008 he was booked for being involved in Rs 32 lakh Angadiya loot , in 1996 he was arrested in Mumbai for attempt to murder, in 2015 he was wanted in a robbery case in Siddhpur and 2019 he was booked for impersonating as fake police.
