At least three injured in mass shooting in Lille

A mass shooting in the French city of Lille has allegedly left at least three injured.
Police rushed to an area of the city following the attack on three youths.


The incident occurred near the Porte d’Arras metro stop in the south of the city.
Armed police have sealed off roads in the city centre.

It is currently unclear who is responsible, however early indications were of ‘a settling of accounts’ by the shooter.
Anti-terrorism police were one of the first on the scene.
Local reports claim a 14-year-old boy is among the injured after being shot in the leg.
Two others have allegedly been shot in the leg and neck.

French regional daily newspaper, La Voix du Nord said: ‘Shots fired near metro Porte d’Arras on Friday night, several injured’.
A polices source said: ‘The attack was in place Jacques Febvrier, next to the Porte d’Arras metro station. Officers remain at the scene.
‘Those hurt have been taken to the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital. None of the injuries are life threatening.
‘A car pulled up outside the station and targeted the three youths hurt. It appears this was a settling of scores.’
The incident comes two days after a terror attack in London.
