Govt failed to announce programme to end peace process: Dahal

May 11, 2016- UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has taken a swipe at the government's failure to announce any programmes in recently unveiled policy and programme to complete the peace process.
Speaking at parliament meeting on Wednesday, Dahal drew the attention of KP Sharma Oli-led government towards the issue. He also urged the main opposition Nepali Congress to seriously take up the government failure to announce such programmes.
"Not bringing any programmes aimed at completing the peace process will push the country towards another mishap. The peace process should be resolved in accordance with the Comprehensive Peace Accord and not through our common theory of law or any traditional manner," Dahal said.
He stressed the need of a national unity government which would aid in the implementation of the new constitution and guide the country towards prosperity.
Responding towards the government's claim to organise local bodies election, Dahal said," Political consensus is needed to conduct local bodies election."
