Two Maoists killed in encounter in Warangal

Two Maoist party naxalites were killed in an exchange of fire with the police in Narlapur forest area in Tadwai mandal of Warangal District in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to the information reaching here, one male and one female naxal were killed and police recovered one 303 and one carbon weapons from the spot. The police suspect another three naxals managed to escape from the scene.

In recent times, posters were seen in some villages in the name of Maoist party leaders but police dismissed them as act of miscreants within the village. The other day, naxals burnt a proclain at a quarry in Mallampalli village in Mulug mandal.

After a lull for many years, the exchange of fire between police and naxals took place in the district that only confirms the reemergence of naxal movement.
