Pakistan Taliban claim responsibility for Peshawar attack

ISLAMABAD: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have claimed the responsibility for the attack on air force base in Peshawar.

Pakistan Taliban said that the attack was carried out in reaction to military operation against them in tribal regions.

In a statement released to the media, Mohamad Khurasani, a spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban, said they would provide details about the attackers shortly.

Heavily armed militants attacked a Pakistani air force base in the volatile northwestern city of Peshawar on Friday, triggering a shootout that left at least six of the attackers dead, the army said.
