ISIL has nothing to do with Islam: Former member

An ex-member of the Takfiri ISIL terror group has spoken out against the odious crimes being perpetrated at the hands of the extremist militants in Syria, saying the terrorist cult has “nothing” in common with the holy religion of Islam.
In a joint interview with Germany’s NDR and WDR broadcasters as well asSüddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, the former ISIL member, who is identified as Ebrahim B. and is now in German custody after returning from Syria, told of his “terrible” ordeals during life under ISIL.
“The world… should know the truth,” said Ebrahim, emphasizing that ISIL “has nothing to do with Islam.”
Ebrahim, a Tunisian national who immigrated to Germany along with his family in the 1970s, described his journey from the European country to Syria and how they managed to enter the violence-wracked Arab state through neighboring Turkey.
The former ISIL member said he left Germany in May 2014 to join the terrorists active in Syria together with a friend identified as Ayoub B. The two first arrived in Turkey before crossing the border into Syria with the help of an ISIL agent.
They were told on the Syrian border that the Turkish soldiers there were complicit, and that they would shoot, “but just in the air.”
Once the two friends arrived in Syria, the ISIL terrorists offered them a house but took away their passports and cell phones so they could not escape, Ebrahim said.

The ISIL extremists also used scaremongering techniques to make them stay in their ranks, added Ebrahim, describing how the terror group’s commanders once beheaded a fellow militant on charges of espionage.
“They brought his corpse to us in our room, and put his head on top of his body, to scare us” into complying, said Ebrahim.
The ISIL terrorists also wooed Ebrahim and Ayoub to remain in Syria with promises of expensive cars and women.
A few months later, Ebrahim went back to Germany after he found life under ISIL “simply terrible.” He was detained there on terror charges in November 2014. Ayoub was also arrested by German authorities a few months later.
Some 700 German nationals are believed to be fighting alongside the Takfiri terrorists in Syria.
ISIL has swathes of land under its control in Iraq and Syria. The terror group has lured members into its ranks from many Western countries.
They have been engaged in heinous crimes against all religious groups, including Shia and Sunni Muslims as well as Christians and Kurds, in the areas they control.
