Women vendors protest against bomb blast: Manipur

Imphal, February 19 2015: Women vendors of Khwairamband Bazar, Imphal on Thursday organised a sit-in protest against Wednesday's bomb blast in Masjid road area, in the heart of Imphal.

While strongly condemning the blast that inflicted injuries to at least seven people, four policemen, two women vendors and a non-local, the women vendors said the blast would have caused a disaster if the bomb was exploded without a warning.

Talking to the media, a woman leader from the vendors' community informed that as soon as they found the object suspected to be a bomb, they called up the city police personnel and informed them about the bomb.
