Blasts injure 8 soldiers, 1 policeman in Iraq

BAGHDAD: Eight soldiers were wounded here on Thursday when a suicide bomber detonated a car laden with explosives, east of Mosul.

According to a security source, a suicide car bomber stormed the headquarters of one of the regiments of the second Division in al-Zuhoor area east of Mosul.

In another incident, a policeman was injured when a roadside bomb exploded today in Kirkuk.

The bomb targeted a police patrol in the neighborhood of Arafa, injuring a policeman and causing damage to the vehicle, a security source explained. (QNA)
