Cache of arms, ammunition seized in J-K

SRINAGAR: A haul of arms and ammunition was today seized by security forces during search operations from a forest in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

The militant hideout was busted in a joint operation by police and Rashtriya Rifles in Pathribal forest area, 75 kms from here, a police spokesman said.

He said the seizure included an AK-47 rifle, its five magazines with 300 rounds, two UBGL grenades and a binocular.

The material was dumped by militants in the forest, but no one was arrested during the operation, the spokesman said.
