Brutal attack by Maoists kills 1, injures 12 other policemen

Dhanbad, June 27 (ANI): Acting with brazen impunity, the Maoists attacked a police patrolling team in Dhanbad, causing one death and critically injuring 12 others. The injured personnel were rushed to the near by hospital for treatment. After the attack, police carried out raids in the near by areas in search of the absconding Maoists. The patrolling team was on round in wake of the 24 hour shutdown called by Maoists against the government's paramilitary "Operation Greenhunt".
