Bomb Blast Kills 6 Afghan Police

Afghan authorities say a roadside bomb has killed six police officers in central Uruzgan province.
Local officials Monday said the policemen were patrolling in Chora district when their vehicle struck the explosives.
The French News Agency quotes the Taliban as claiming responsibility for the deadly attack on its website.
In other violence, NATO said one of its service members died in an insurgent attack in western Afghanistan Monday. It did not identify the nationality of the soldier killed.
