Sonia Gandhi to visit Guwahati today amid ULFA bandh

New Delhi: Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will be visiting Guwahati on Saturday to attend the first anniversary celebration of the third consecutive term of the Congress government in the state.
Meanwhile, ULFA hardliners have called for a 12-hour bandh in the state in protest against the visit.
On Friday night, one person was killed in a bomb blast allegedly by anti-talk faction of ULFA in Tinsukia district. The bomb was planted in a roadside at Selabari area. The deceased has been identified as A Agarwal, a local businessman, police said.

Sonia Gandhi is on a one-day visit to the state.
