Management of Maoist fighters as main challenge of peace

'BHAKTAPUR: CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli has said the management of Maoist former combatants and their arms was the main challenge of the hour to establish peace in the country.
Opening the second district convention of the Press Chautari Nepal, Bhaktapur chapter here on Friday, UML senior leader Oli expressed doubt the new constitution could not guarantee peace in the country if it was promulgated without managing the Maoist former fighters and their arms.
He also accused the Maoists of causing obstructions in concluding the army integration process.
Also speaking on the occasion, President of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Shiva Gaunle said the Federation was committed to fight for the rights of media workers.
The convention has elected a 13-member new working committee for the next two years under the leadership of Som Sharma Bajgain.
