MANAMA, Dec. 13 (Saba)- Director of the Presidential Office and chairman of the National Security System Ali al-Anisi affirmed on Sunday that the phenomenon of terrorism is considered one of the most dangerous challenges facing Yemen, the region and the world as a whole.

In his speech at the Manama Dialog Forum symposium titled "Planning the Regional Security," he made clear that Yemen was affected just like other counties due to acts of terrorism harming its security, political, economic and social aspects.

He noted that Yemen has done its utmost to curb such operations and activities and has achieved positive results and still in need for regional and international support to increase its abilities and capacities as it is an active partner for the international community in the fight against terrorism.

Al-Anisi also referred to terrorism acts committed by Saada Houthi rebels who want to harm security, stability and development process of Yemen and to implement foreign agenda in the country.

He also talked about the destruction acts done in some southern governorates by outlaw elements, naming the perpetrators as the successors of secessionists of 1994.

He considered the collapse of the Somali government and the up-to-day 19 year-old crisis as the main source for threats against the regional security, calling for dedicating efforts and urging members of the international community and the international and regional institutions to stand by Somalia to find the way out if its crisis and overcome the current situations.
