Dinanagar terrorist attack: Haryana Police on alert

Following the terrorist attack on a police station at Dinanagar town in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, security has been beefed up at police stations in Haryana on Monday.

Rohtak inspector general (IG) of police Shrikant Jadhav called an emergency meeting of the top officials of the Rohtak range.

"Following the attack on Dinanagar police station in Punjab, we have called a meeting which is still going on", Jadhav told Hindustan Times.

The police were also on alert in the wake of the protest call given by Jat leaders who have threatened to block Delhi border at Kundli in Sonepat district to press for reservation for the community.

"We have made all arrangements to deal with the protesters and police forces have been deputed at the Kundli border," said Sonepat SP Abhishek Garg."As of now, there are no reports of protests, but following the terrorist attack in Punjab, nobody will be allowed to block national highways and the Delhi border," he added.
