KENYA: Another deadly attack in Lamu, Al Shabab took credit

Lamu (RBC) At least 10 people including four Kenyan soldiers were killed after gunmen attacked a passenger bus between Witu and Mombasa on Friday, local media reported.
Eight people were also injured in the attack who were admitted in nearby hospital for treatment.
The local media reported that all he bodies were found shot with bullets on the head, eyes and neck.
The gunmen fired the bus to stop and then boarded starting to shoot those onboard.  The driver of the passenger bus was also shot.
Meanwhile the attack was claimed by Al Shabab militant group in Somalia, a group linked to Al Qaeda network.
The group’s spokesman Sheikh Abdiaziz abu Mus’ab said the attack was carried out by a group of Mujahedin members inside Kenya as he warned to carry more similar attacks.
He said they conducted the attack on Kenyan people because of Kenya’s army fighting inside Somalia as part of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

The fresh attack came as Kenya experiences recurrent attacks claimed by Al Shabab fighters in Somalia.  More than 100 people were killed in Mpeketoni, Witu and Lamu in four different attack carried by gunmen since May this year making the area as the most deadly place inside Kenyan soil  forcing hundreds of civilians to flee from their homes.
